Method
- Make sure you thoroughly rinse the peanuts in your colander. Until water is clear

- If you are using older raw peanuts, it may help the boiling process to let them soak a few hours covered in a water filled dish.
- Place clean peanuts in the crock pot and add your salt (any other seasonings)

- then place ten cups of water or so on top.
- mix it as much as you can
- place lid on top and put on LOW for 22-24 hours
- You will want to go stir every few hours or so, especially before bed.
- Add any water to it if needed.
- serve and enjoy

Notes

In boiling older raw peanuts, you’ll definitely need to use a lot of salt as you need to refill the boiling water continuously to achieve your desired softness. To check if you’ve reached the desired softness, take a sample out of the pot to taste them.
Fresh green peanuts in shells, not the roasted or cooked ones, are the best type to boil.
1/2 cup salt (You can reduce this, I like mine SALTY!)
For a Spicy Variation- Throw some Jalapeno's in. Or maybe a tablespoon of your favorite cajun seasoning, with a dash of red pepper flakes.
I LOVE using my Jacobsen Salt, There are so many flavors!!
