  • The Best Damn Salsa

New Year, new house, and new recipes! I’ve taken a bit of a break from my blog and focused on our move and also the holidays. But I am back and ready to continue to share some of my favorites. Speaking of favorites, lets talk tacos. Who doesn’t love tacos? I could eat them every day, but mainly because of my serious addiction to SALSA. This is NOT your typical salsa recipe, but if you are picky about salsa like I am, I seriously urge you to try this out. I made double this recipe for my New Years Eve party, and saved some for myself just so I could…

  • Jumbo Boiled Peanuts

There are VERY few things I like better than some good ol’ boiled peanuts! They say it is a southern thing, but I believe that no matter where you are from, its never to late to join the boiled peanut party train!! Every time I go home to visit Madison, Mississippi, My daddy has those boiled peanuts ready to hit the pot! I do enjoy them pretty salty, so feel free to put in less salt. Taste as you go, and don’t be scared to throw in some variation. I personally love a traditional salty peanut, but every now and then I want that KICK! If you’ve never had boiled…

  • Baked Avocado

I am VERY passionate about some Avocado! I get excited when I hear the word. I usually eat it with a little garlic salt, pepper with side of tomatoes. This recipe is so tasty and different! It would be a great app, side dish or even main course. Healthy and gluten free! But most importantly its EASY and TASTY!! I hope you enjoy! xo

  • Pickled Eggs

You could pickle just about anything and I would eat it!! I do love me some pickled eggs. Healthy and filling and a kickin’ BITE! My Nana would always make some to keep in her fridge when she knew I would be coming to town. They do not smell the prettiest, but they sure are good! If stored properly in fridge you are looking at a pretty long shelf life. Enjoy!

  • Kickin’ Pimento

LOVE me some good ol’ Pimento Cheese. I use to slap it on some white bread with a strong batch of Sweet Tea. I like to serve it as a dip! Its a dip with a little kick! Hope you enjoy! Xo

  • Gazpacho

This recipe keeps me going during the summer months! I had never tried Gazpacho until I spent a few month in LA!. When I was competing on, “The Voice”, we were sequestered at a hotel that was connected to an amazing restaurant called, The Daily Grill. This is my copycat recipe that I have found to be as close as possible! I hope you enjoy!
